I see every day as an opportunity to learn something new, and I believe the best way to learn is to interact with other people and share our experiences. I started thinking about online communities when I was working as an online tutor for an online course. I was fascinated by the specifics of online communication and even widely about how relationships are formed online. Together with a partner, who also has extensive online community experience, I established Artesia, a company that focuses on building virtual communities. Our challenge is to provide added value to both the community administrators and most importantly the users that form the community. My dream is to use social networks on any platform to make the world a better place and a place of equal opportunities for everyone. I believe that people are capable of doing amazing things when they are given the opportunity to merge their experiences and knowledge in a creative environment. Lately, I'm amazed and humbled by the amount of creativity I'm seeing in the virtual worlds, but I'm also a huge fan of web based social networks (currently Twitter is my favorite :) ).
